Im Home!

Hey everybody! I just got back from camp. It was a ton of fun, but also
a lot of hard work. But it was all rewarding in the end. I hope all of
your summers are going well, and I want to say a special thanks to
ebuch and Princess Zelda for taking care of the site while I was gone. I need a few days to get back into the swing of things (and possibly transfer everything to my new computer), so see you around!

Top 10 Greatest NES Games Of All Time That Werent Made By Nintendo

Bitmob writes:

“It can be argued that the Nintendo Entertainment System was the greatest console ever made. It revived the failing game industry after Atari almost destroyed it and introduced us to characters that have become video game icons. As such, it’s no surprise that the system housed some of the best games ever. Some of our favorite games started their lives on the NES and even more games have been remade for new audiences over the world.

In honor of the NES and its massive library, I’ve highlighted ten of the system’s best games. A quick primer: The games picked could not be made by Nintendo. No Marios, Zeldas, or Metroids. Nintendo’s games could fill their own list and I’ve decided to put them in the hall of fame. I want to show games that were amazing on their own and not part of the House of Miyamoto.

The games also have to still be fun today. A lot of games are remembered with rose-tinted glasses and are not as fun as we like to think they are. Every game picked is just as fun today as it was when it was released.”

MotionPlus support in Zelda Wii pretty much a guarantee

Even before concept art for Zelda Wii was officially shown at E3 2009, a majority of fans were in agreement that the game should support Wii MotionPlus. However, there were some contradicting statements made by Shigeru Miyamoto coming out of E3. D

New Songs, And Then Some!

Hey guys! A TON of new songs have been added to our library, bumping up the grand total to 505 songs! This time, we feature some OC ReMixes that had been lost in the Great Library Crash of April 2009. We also feature many more independant artists including MaceCro, Shadow, and linkcrazy101. I’ve also been able to get a hold of three Zelda songs from the 5-CD Orchestral Game Music collection, which, by the way, is considered one of the rarest video game music CDs in the world! A few of you may recognize the Legend of Zelda Theme song as one performed by John Williams’s orchestra, but it was actually performed by the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, NOT John Williams! Just have to clarify that despite all of the YouTube videos saying it is from John Williams. As far as site updates go, all you WMP listeners will have noticed by now the new Top 10 Requests pane instead of seeing the affiliates pane. I’m also going to be working on an announcement pane that will show site updates and other stuff as well as a rating system to be shown on the request pages and stat pages. I’m also going to be testing out some scripts for our broadcasting software, so you may notice the playlist rotation being a little out of wack. Well, that about wraps it up for now! You can check out all our new songs by clicking the link to the right! Enjoy!
